Paraprofessional Conference
May 12 - 13, 2011
J.Y. Joyner Library
East Carolina University

The J.Y. Joyner Paraprofessional Conference, now in its eighth year, offers the only North Carolina conference solely for library paraprofessionals. Obtaining adequate professional development is a continual problem for paraprofessionals. The J.Y. Joyner Paraprofessional Conference facilitates professional growth for area paraprofessionals by providing a variety of sessions including hands on preservation lessons, interactive technology classes, panel discussions, and more. Conference presenters include a mix of professionals and paraprofessionals from the library world and beyond.

The Joyner Library Support Staff organization executive committee organizes the event and last year over 150 library paraprofessionals from academic, public and special libraries attended the workshop.

Individuals requesting accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) should contact the Department for Disability Support Services at least forty-eight hours prior to the event at (252) 737-1016 (Voice/TTY).
