Registration is requested so participant head count can be determined and so each can be included in our email announcements about the event. Registration is required for the author luncheon and the workshop sessions. Workshop seating is limited, so please register to assure your seat in the workshops you wish to attend.

Friday evening (Fri., 7:00-9:30): Roberts Award presentation to Nancy Olson. Tributes and readings by Jill McCorkle and Michael Malone.
Author Luncheon (Sat., 1:00-2:30), including a reading by Pamela Duncan. Please include a check or money order made payable to Joyner Library for $15 for each lunch ticket. Lunch is buffet style with vegetarian options. Payment must be received before September 14th in order to be processed. Be sure to allow plenty of time for postal delivery.
Plenary Session: West Looks East, East Looks South (Sat., 9:00-10:00), Pamela Duncan, Jim Grimsley.
Keynote Speaker (Sat., 5:15), Josephine Humphreys, author of Nowhere Else on Earth.

Panel Discussions:

Looking Back to Look Forward: Historical Fiction (Sat., 10:30-11:30), Josephine Humphreys and Carole Boston Weatherford.
Recording the Moment When Cultures Clash (Sat., 11:45-12:45), Margaret O’Connor.
Outsider Looking In, Insider Looking Out: Two Perspectives (Sat., 2:30-3:30), Michael White and Michael Malone.
The Age of Perspective: Teaching Adults and Children History (Sat., 3:45-4:45), Alice Eley Jones and Carole Boston Weatherford.

Workshops (registration is required as space is limited to 20 participants for each):

This event is full. Changing Spaces: Playwrighting Across Cultures (Sat., 2:30-4:30), Jim Grimsley.

Forms may be submitted online or mailed with check (if applicable). For the Saturday lunch, make check payable to Joyner Library with the notation “author luncheon” in the lower left hand corner and mail to:
